| Because each of our pets are unique, they may each have special needs to be addressed with their health. Some have skin & coat problems: dry, itchy, or inflamed in response to allergies or fleas Some may have sensitive stomachs or digestive systems Some have bone & joint needs due to growth or arthritis Some may even have immune compromised systems due to cancer treatments And there are a myriad of other health problems as well Having spent nearly 20 years studying natural nutrition for pets, I am always researching the latest information available that can provide me with alternative therapies that can possibly improve our pet's health issues and possibly restore their health to allow them to have a better quality of life Having said that, I have incorporated a list of foods and supplements that can enhance the health of our pets should they be in a health-compromised situation. Using natural, homeopathic ingredients , foods and herbs, I have been fortunate enough to have provided relief for several pets. Simply put, using a variety of foods combined to provide the optimum balance of nutrition for your pet and without using chemical additives for preservatives or any harmful ingredients, we may be able to give your pet a new lease on life or at least enhance their present state of existence. Some foods such as Papaya contain enzymes which help to naturally rid your pet of internal parasites by breaking down the parasite's outer layer, thereby allowing your pet's own system to digest the parasite. Spices such as cinnamon, break down insulin resistant cells and in so doing allow the body to more efficiently break down the sugars in food for pets with diabetes. Turmeric plays an important role in keeping cancer cells from reproducing themselves. Berry rich diets provide antioxidants which keep cancer from multiplying. Omega 3 rich diets enhance coat and skin and have other health enhancement effects as well. Glutens can be responsible for the majority of bowel issues/digestive distress. Wheat grains can be responsible for yeast infections in your pet's ears. There are lots of foods that provide important aspects of your pet's optimal nutrition needs. But there are also some that can be toxic to your pet and we are well aware of those and steer clear of their inclusion in our products. Even simple things such as salt or sugar place a burden on your pet's systems and are unnecessary ingredients. Certain Fats or oils turn into trans fatty acids and are harmful to your pet's system. There are ingredients that when used in conjunction with one another can de-tox your pet's overburdened systems and allow their recovery to their full potential and even foods which enhance your pet's own immune system. Zinc rich foods play an important part in making your pet an undesirable meal for fleas. And white potatoes have been linked to arthritis. There are even foods which naturally reduce inflammation in your pet's body. Unfortunately, we have been feeding our pets diets which contain chemicals or meats from animals which have been raised with the usage of hormones to get them to market faster, insecticides to prevent external parasites, vermifuges to prevent internal parasites, antibiotics to enhance their immune system's protection from disease and more. Grains used in diets have been grown in fields containing a large amount of lead, chemical fertilizers, and weed killers. Most of the animals used for the meat in our pet's foods consume the grains and grasses grown on the soils laced with the chemical contaminants. And unfortunately for our pets, the pet food regulatory agencies allow the inclusion of meat from any animal that is dead, down, diseased or dying for our pet's consumption. Bones in the food animals in this country have been found to contain lead and cannot be used in bone meal supplements for humans in this country....but they are used in the food your pet eats in a large part for the calcium provision of the diet. Did you know that some of the food animals used in your pet's food fed upon food laced with rendered animal parts to increase the protein content of their diet, yet those food animals are not carnivores in nature? These are just a few of the facts regarding the pet food industry in this country and the reasons why I have prepared the products I have, to help in some way to provide our pets with a healthy alternative that will hopefully help them reach a potentially higher level of quality life. |
